A global, industry-leading organization is seeking a Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis to play a critical leadership role within the Finance organization. Reporting to the Senior Director of FP&A, this individual will help drive the company’s financial strategy through planning, forecasting, and performance analysis.
This role will partner closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives, enhance financial reporting, and build scalable FP&A processes. This role offers strong visibility across the organization and the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making within a company experiencing rapid growth and preparing for a potential IPO.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
- Develop and maintain robust financial models to support strategic initiatives, scenario planning, and capital allocation decisions
- Provide leadership with clear insights into business performance, including variance analysis, KPI tracking, and financial reporting
- Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, Legal, Investor Relations, and operational leadership to support strategic initiatives
- Prepare executive and board-level presentations to communicate financial results and forward-looking analysis
- Identify opportunities to improve financial performance and operational efficiency
- Enhance and scale FP&A systems, reporting tools, and analytical capabilities
- Leverage technology solutions (ERP, CPM, BI, and emerging AI tools) to strengthen financial analysis and business insights
- Mentor and develop members of the FP&A team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative environment
- Support financial close, forecast cycles, and scenario planning processes by coordinating closely with finance systems and reporting teams
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- Proven experience in driving financial planning and business insights within complex organizations
- Strong ability to partner with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience building or scaling FP&A processes, systems, and reporting capabilities
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into clear business recommendations
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and organizational change
- Highly analytical mindset with strong intellectual curiosity
- Balanced approach combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Strong understanding of value drivers within industrial, energy, or capital-intensive industries
- Experience supporting public company reporting environments or IPO readiness is a plus
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- Advanced degree preferred (MBA, CFA, CPA, or equivalent)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or investment banking
- Prior leadership or managerial experience preferred
- Experience operating in high-growth or transformation environments
- Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical capabilities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial insights to non-financial stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems such as OneStream, JDE, or similar platforms
