JOB SUMMARY:
A growing, publicly traded Construction company headquartered in Greater Houston is seeking a full-time General Manager to join its Permanent Modular Construction (PMC) division. The General Manager will be responsible for providing strategic direction and growth to the US PMC / Custom Modular Sales organization through the development and implementation of short—and long-term growth plans and strategies.

- Revenue: $100M. On track to hit $250M by 2030
- Location: Greater Houston or willing to relocate in the future
- Salary: $150k – $175k, plus a discretionary bonus up to $70k, annually (based on personal and company performance)
- Additional Allowance: $12k/year for car allowance, plus fuel & travel expenses, phone and computer
- Travel: The position will require 50% travel via air or vehicle
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Lead the PMC team in the development, manufacture, sale, and execution of turnkey modular solutions projects in the US.
- Develops distinctive strategies to achieve a competitive advantage and long-term success for the company related to PMC and Modular Sales growth and development and translates these strategies into business plans.
- Ensure appropriate processes and controls are in place to identify and manage business opportunities and risks.
- Direct operations team to achieve/surpass project budget and earnings results.
- Position the business for future growth through effective communication, employment, training and development, succession planning, and performance management.
- Ensure all operational activities comply with local and national laws and regulations.
- Ensure appropriate HSE Policies and Procedures are developed, implemented, and adhered to.
- Ensure company policies are uniformly understood, properly interpreted, and administered throughout the organization.
- Represent the organization in its relationships with major clients, suppliers, competitors, government agencies, professional societies, industry associations, and other similar groups.
- Prepare annual department business plans, accurate monthly forecasting, and sales projections.
- Collaborate with in-house engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to meet customers’ unique needs.
- Source and manage external design, manufacturing, and subcontractors to execute projects as required.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFIERS:
- A minimum of 10 years working in the modular industry is required.
- Workforce lodging camps and/or multistory modular experience preferred.
- Critical /strategic thinking skills.
- Exceptional organization skills.
- Excellent communicator, both with external and internal clients.
- Must be a self-starter who can work independently.
EDUCATION:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Construction Science, or a similar discipline is required.
