JOB SUMMARY:

A large construction company in The Woodlands is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join its team full-time. In this role, the Generalist will perform professional HR work and assist with administrating Human Resources employee-focused programs and initiatives to meet departmental goals. This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager and is onsite for four days with one day WFH.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Provide all employees with guidance, information, and interpretation on HR programs, policies, and practices.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors, escalating as needed.
  • Assist with reporting and analytics related to people metrics. Complete monthly HR Data reports, i.e., headcount, turnover, attendance, etc. 
  • Respond to all auditing requests and compliance testing, including annual financial audits, Workers’ Compensation audits, EEO-1 reporting, etc. 
  • Maintain timely and accurate employee data across internal systems, specifically in Oracle and ADP, as they are tied to supporting financial systems and internal controls to ensure 100% data integrity.
  • Conduct job evaluations; compose/edit job descriptions.
  • Assist with the recruitment and hiring process; prepare and post job advertisements. 
  • Review candidate resumes and communicate with the hiring manager; schedule interviews and monitor the interview process for each position. Pre-screen candidates as requested.  
  • Schedule, coordinate, and monitor the pre-hire process and onboarding progression. 
  • Administer and coordinate new hire orientation, taking a leading role in welcoming new hires.
  • Perform offboarding/exit interviews as needed, ensuring all data is accurately recorded. 
  • Act as payroll backup; assist with payroll processing in the absence of payroll administrator. 
  • Assist in administrating employee health and benefit programs, including 401K; assist in the annual benefits enrollment process rollout.
  • Work with ADP and external benefit carriers to seamlessly transfer employee benefit data. 
  • Manage all leave administration, including FMLA, Short- and Long-Term DisabilityLeave of Absence, etc., guaranteeing a fair and seamless process that aligns with company policies and statutory requirements.

POSITION QUALIFIERS:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of Human Resources Generalist experience supporting multiple geographies and a minimum of two (2) years of recruiting experience.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce NOW and all associated modules: recruiting, Onboarding, Selection and Screening Services, and 401K Recordkeeping.
  • Experience implementing and programming ADP software desired.
  • Experience with Microsoft suite of products, specifically Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with Oracle ERP systems, particularly the Personnel/People Management module, is highly desired.
  • Action-oriented, with the ability to operate successfully in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation.
  • Ability to think critically and strategically and lead projects effectively.
  • Ability to use good judgment and discretion with highly confidential business and employee information
  • HRCI and/or SHRM certification desired.

COMPENSATION:

  • Salary up to $85k, 10% discretionary bonus
  • 3 weeks PTO, 2 flex days, and 10 paid holidays
  • 401(k): Match of 4%
